In wishing you a Happy New Year we are hopeful that all of us may have a slightly less “interesting” year than 2009. “May you live in interesting times” may or not be blessing or a curse, but either way, we are living in “interesting times”. First things first, we encourage you to attend our annual “Users Group” meeting in Denver May 5th, 6th and 7th 2010. While the meetings will serve to show you ways to get more out of our systems, extending your visit through the weekend will give you the opportunity to see spring in bloom in the lowlands (if you can call 5,280-feet above sea level the lowlands) and plenty of snow still in the Rocky Mountains just a short drive to the West. Since 1984 Techmate has been known in the broker dealer industry by two primary products names, Operations Plus in the DOS years and WinOPS/WebOPS after Microsoft’s successful transition to 32-bit Windows operating system, beginning with Windows 95. We are not turning our back on the familiar names you have known all these years, but we have added a registered trademark “C5 Solutions for Broker Dealers” to our identity moving forward. The reason for this is because the most persistent comment we hear is, “I am not getting everything out of WinOPS that I know it offers”. To more effectively tell the story of everything we offer to you, our clients, we built our five primary services into our identity. If you have not seen our materials prior to this, the five “C’s” of C5 Solutions for Broker Dealers are: Commission Processing Compliance Record Keeping and Surveillance Continuity Planning through system and systematic training Customer data Aggregation Consulting Services If you happen to feel that you are not taking full advantage of the system functionality and capabilities available to you in your WinOPS system and your relationship with us, please call or send us an email and let us know. We will be happy to schedule an online web meeting, give you a refresher course on what we offer and address any questions you may have. You have been very busy in 2009 and you may not be aware of our product and customer data scrubbing service, or the ability to click on a holding record and have the system automatically take you to the account in the DST Vision System, or the availability of many, variable annuity commissions files, or the monthly position file reconciliation, or... , okay, you get the point, we have been busy building new and improved functionality into our system for you.
